Tahitian dance

Tahitian dance

The rhythm, body and spirit of Polynesia

Ori Tahiti literally means “Tahitian dance”. This ancient art, originating from the island of Tahiti, combines the strength and precision of wide, rapid hip movements with the expressive elegance of the hands, which tell stories, legends, traditions and the deep connection with nature.

A song of roots and freedom that resonates with every step

More than just a dance, it is a celebration of life and Mother Earth, where rhythm, energy and Polynesian culture come together. Practising it is not only fun: it strengthens your legs and abdomen, improves your physical endurance and immerses you in a cultural universe marked by respect and dialogue with nature.

Connecting islands, roots and movement

I have the honour of collaborating with the Tahiti Ori school in Bora Bora and New Caledonia, which allows me to convey the authentic essence of ‘Ori Tahiti directly from its roots. This connection ensures that every step and every gesture you learn maintains fidelity and respect for Polynesian tradition.
